I had fun playing around with this. One thing I can't figure out, is how to link two child nodes or how to link nodes from different child lists, so that anything linked in the parent would remain visible when clicking the linked node. Any ideas?

Very cool! Forgive my ignorance in such matters as I am very new to this universe, but why is it that when I click on a node that references a link (a href) the link does not open? I can right click and open the link in a new window....what am I failing to understand?

Haha California, and the bay area specifically is not exactly indicative of the US as a whole. So much of your opinions are based on the regional culture. Funny your feelings are much the same as mine, and I've lived here (the bay area) my entire life.

Two things: first, the astro background and its impact on my browser's responsiveness get kind-of old after a couple of visits. Perhaps there could be a way to shut it off.

Now, the real deal is this: I've found that having more than two fonts listed in the "font-family" property setting where the web font is actually *used* is necessary to trigger the bug. In other words, "font-famly: your-font, sans-serif;" works fine, while "font-family: your-font, Arial, sans-serif;" does not.

Also it's been suggested in an answer to a Stackoverflow question on the topic that simply disabling and re-enabling the style element suffices to "reload" the font-face declarations. However, that's moot for me because dropping the font-family list down to two seems to do the trick (for me).
